What Our People Say

The comments shared by colleagues highlight the culture we continue to build.

These sentiments reflect the workplace we strive to create across VCFSUK, where people can do their best work, grow their careers and feel they belong.

“This organisation is a great place to work because people genuinely matter. Everyone’s contribution is valued and visible, there is a strong sense of trust and collaboration, and individuals can clearly see the impact of their work on the success of the business.”

“I think that everyone feels that they are genuinely valued as employees and feel that they make an impact into the business as a whole. They can see their contribution, and this gives a great sense of belonging.”

Our Commitment to the Women in Finance Charter

VCFSUK is proud to be a signatory of HM Treasury’s Women in Finance Charter. The Charter is a commitment by financial services organisations to support the progression of women into senior leadership positions and improve gender balance at all levels of the industry.

We recognise that diverse leadership teams bring broader perspectives, enhance decision making and help create a more inclusive and successful organisation. We are committed to ensuring that talented colleagues have equitable opportunities to develop their careers and fulfil their potential.

Our Target

As part of our commitment under the Women in Finance Charter, VCFSUK has established the following objective.

  • Current female representation in senior management: 29 percent
  • Target female representation in senior management by February 2031: 40 percent

Progress against this target will be reviewed annually and reported publicly in line with our Charter commitments. Our senior leadership team is accountable for delivering progress and for embedding inclusive practices across the organisation.

Supporting Career Growth and Development

Creating an inclusive workplace means more than setting targets. At VCFSUK, we are committed to developing talent at every stage of a career through:

  • Clear development pathways
  • Leadership and capability building
  • Graduate and undergraduate programmes
  • Regular performance and career conversations
  • A culture of collaboration and continuous learning

We want all colleagues, regardless of gender or background, to have the opportunity to grow, contribute and succeed.

Looking Forward

Improving representation is an ongoing journey, and meaningful progress requires commitment, transparency and action. By combining our Women in Finance Charter commitments with our broader focus on culture, development and inclusion, we aim to create a workplace where talented people can build rewarding careers and where diverse perspectives help drive our future success.

Together, we are building a culture where everyone belongs, everyone can develop and everyone can make a meaningful impact.
